| OK, first off... CJ came across very harsh. That might be our fault, we like to pick on him so he has to pick on new people to make himself feel better - Quote :

What he means by that, is that most people play to around this level (as it is the GW tournament points level.) It is by no means a enforced for play around here. Ok on to the list. It seems as though you are trying to throw down everything that you own. It might be better to target a lower points bracket until you amass a larger collection. One big weakness of the list is the lack of troops. In 5th Edition 40k troops are the only unit that can capture objectives, so you need to be able to rely upon them. 2x5 Dire Avengers probably wont cut it! be back in few with more!

| Ok, back.
You are also over your number of allowed Heavy Support selections.
So you will need to knock that down to 3.
Other than that I think your army will have a hard time applying itself. You should play a few games and get acquainted with how your army performs and what direction you want to take it in. Perhaps a few 1000 point or smaller games, or maybe 1500 once you get your new squad of troops.

| You'll have a lot to play with at that point!
If you are new to the game it is best to play some smaller games before jumping into the potential headache of Apocalypse imo.

| Customize your army to fit the scenario?
That kind of list tailoring often doesn't go over well with your opponent, and you'll have to have already chosen a list before rolling off to determine the mission anyways.
It's usually better to come up with "take all comers" lists that are balanced instead of drastically altering your force based on what army and mission you are playing.

i suggest looking at craftworlds and using their suggestions to start an army flavour that you like. speed, assault, shooting, toughness, horde.. its all available to you. think about how you are going to use each unit, and think about which unit could support which other units and how they will accomplish that.
remember an eldar army has the capability to destroy anything.. but its very hard to get the right unit in the right place at the right time. every piece must support the other.
let us know what units will be doing what.. that will help get the right support in with it.

| As was mentioned before, gearing your army against your opponent is generally frowned upon. You are better to make a single "take all comers list" and then play. Otherwise people might avoid playing you at all. | |
