| I decided that Ultramarine Blue is not my favorite color for the space marines, and that I was going to start with a new scheme for the Black Reach set that I got. Anyhow, any comments/critiques of this scheme?

| It sucks shoot yourself in the balls.....j/k. It looks interesting but I am not sure it really has that something special with it. I would try something else but its not horrible so its up to you. | |

| Looks good. Very "crimson fists" for the base color. Maybe you should try going that way with the marines. |

| Crimson Fists, huh? I'll have to look that chapter up, as it sounds interesting.
JT, maybe "that something special" would be along the lines of the Crimson Fists... I'll have to look into that and see what I can do to make it stand out more.

| It looks like the Crimson Fists are blue instead of grey? Maybe I didn't get the flash portion right, but I went with some grey colors..... I noticed another one on that second link you sent, John, called the Storm Warriors, and I might use that color scheme... | |

| Hmmm. Looks like a Night blue over black.
Which grey did you use? Codex? |

| Foundations.... Um, Fenris Grey with Adeptus Battlegrey heavily drybrushed, then line detailed with Astronomica Grey....
Though, thinking about it Fenris Grey does have a blueish hue to it, so I guess that's coming out more than I was expecting!

It can be paired w/ spacewolves grey which is also a blueish tint of grey. I think it looks good and would make a good crimson fist army. It might be less blue in person though. |

| yeah, it's a little more grey than blue... But, I mean, I could just say it's my interpretation of the blue and just do the Crimson Fists anyways | |

| Real simple Crimson Fist scheme here Joe... I've since gone back and hit the highlights with a blue wash to tone them down. Very quick to put out plus Kantor is a solid choice. | |

| I really dig the scheme, it just needs more pop. I'd suggest a brighter color to contrast the drabness of the grey/blue. Or id go back and do some extreme edge highlighting. either of these might give it the little more it needs. | |

| Thanks, guys, for the input I went and put a Asurian Blue citadel wash on it (well, most of it, there are still a few grey spots) and it now has more of a blue tint. I don't know if I want brighter colors standing out on it, but I may do an Ice Blue or Ultramarine Highlight edging on it and see how that looks... | |

| I like the base color much better. Like you said the highlighting needs a little cleanup, and I think like mark recommended perhaps a blue wash to tone it done a little. Especially areas like the foot with so many corners end up with a little too much pop. | |
