| My White Dwarf lists the price at $175
Advanced Orders on line list at $290 which includes $15 in shipping
Can any of our retailers state which price is correct? $175 or $275? |

| I saw a post about this on plasticlegions that they have raised the price all the way from 175 to 200 to 250 to 275.
I believe the justification was that with economies dropping and the expected reduced sales they need to charge more to make up for this, but I think they are just pricing themselves out of a lot of sales.

Well I know a magazine goes to print about 60 days ahead but to miss your price point by 57% is ludicrous. I was down for $175 but $275...hell no. |

| I pre-ordered one from Kendall and he quoted me at "around $200." Based on that, I'd assume it's closer to the $175 than the $275. | |

| It used to be 175. It is now 275. You may want to discuss with Kendall if you aren't down with paying 275.
I'm hoping this follows the X-box model of lets see who will pay 275, ok everyone done, now they are 200!

| I'm guessing that they had an initial prediction of the volume and then after the world economy started scaring everyone they revised it and realized they needed to charge a lot more not to lost money on it. | |

| From the higher-ups at Games Workshop; Official price is $275. The GW website is tacking on another $15 for freight, as it's a heavy (30lb) item. I got a vague, long-winded explanation as to why, but it doesn't really matter at this point, does it? I will be offering all U-Card* members the best price available anywhere! Call or PM for details... Even better; I will have a sample board in store at Up Up & Away next week! I was told it would arrive by Tuesday or Wednesday. After it arrives and everyone has a chance to judge for themselves, we'll start taking pre-orders. Deposits and/or pre-payments will get you the best deal. When the $200 price point was being discussed, we were told to expect allocations, and that less than 10 boards per direct account (like UUA) would be available. With the price increase, it remains unclear whether or not allocations will occur, or they'll be plenty for everyone. If they are allocated, orders will be filled in the order received. UU&A will be buying at least one or two to keep in the store for casual in-store play. Questions? Fire away! Kendall *(Don't have a U-Card? Then you're paying too much! Visit www.upupandawaycomics.com/U-Card.html to find out more.) | |

| Man I would not have bought it for $175, let alone $275.
I can't imagine the COD terrain/or the new Citadel stuff I could order at 20% from the warstore with that money.

Yea...I understand that for some that this product may present a cost issue, even at a discount. But...regardless of percentages I certainly can imagine the number of games I can play at the warstore, the number of late nights the warstore stays open for a special events and the amount local tournament support we get from the warstore. |

I got ya there JG, but I could afford it if I wanted it so don't worry. Again, I can't see spending $175, let alone $275 for a plastic table with lame hills molded in it. To each their own though. Get off your "support your LGS" high horse man, this is 2008. If LGS can't compete in the current market I hardly see how that is my problem. As I rarely take advantage of the "special events" or "late nights" any way, my loyalty is to my wallet. Besides, I spend plenty of money at the LGS when it is convenient.

| These days 20% off is a nice chunk of change. Thankfully we can support the locals and benefit from a discount. PM sent | |

Riiiight. Have you checked to see if any of our FLGSs do "compete in the current market." If you took any time to explore that, you'd see that they do. Regardless of "special events" or "late nights," I'll assume then that you do ALL of your playing at home?
No?
Oh, okay. | |

| Just getting caught up here. I think the 6x4 Central Hill scene will work great for a great war of the Rag'narok. A Game board of this size will require ATLEAST 3500ap to 4000AP for each army.
I still think it will be fine to use this game board for simple 2000 AP games (CONFRONTATION, AT-43), but deployment will need to be sectioned off precisley, with out of bounds ares.
Its a really cool idea, but if GW was smart, they would build the board size in a universal sizes to adapt to most game systems.
The board does give great advantages for deployment of War machines like the dwarves cannons and bolt throwers, while keeping good LOS.
I think I will buy one, as many of my neighbors are new Tabletop players of the RACKHAM universe, and since it is so nice here year round(except summertime months, it's freakin nasty out), we play outside on the picnic benches and at several Coffee shops through out Houston.
Oh and where I buy my product,,,,where ever it's the cheapest, weather this be tv,online, LGS, I don't care. Methaderik said it best"" any way, my loyalty is to my wallet"".

Oh, okay. First off, I am not going to get sucked into another LGS vs. online discounter argument on the internet. Second, you are making a lot of assumptions. You really have little to no idea of my spending, or playing habits. Let's keep this light. I am a nice guy who spends thousands yearly with both the LGS's and online shops. Um, okay. I was merely commenting, that even with a "discount", the plastic table seems overpriced to me.

| It's here, and it's cool!
If you have a U-Card and pre-pay for the table, $210+tax. If you have a U-Card but don't want to pre-pay, $225+tax. Don't have a U-Card? Get one & save on everything you buy at Up Up & Away!

| I went to the Games Workshop store yesterday, and they have 2, yes 2 I say, of these gaming tables for everyday gaming set up, and fully painted for the use of everyday games. This gaming table is huge! They also have about 20 for sale. I would like to use the 4x4 sections of this table, but 6x6 is rather large for my games. So far, they don't split the package up, yet. Just to add, they have every 40K and most of fantasy ready to play, fully painted armies. That is really a great marketing idea. There is 8 full sizes gaming tables with a full stock of terrain, ready for play, everyday. Every saturday, a rookie can walk in the door, and play any army of his pick for free, with a salesmen. WOW (500 AP) Just for giggles, I asked if I could bring AT-43 up for a go, and the answer was NO!

| Yeah they do that at every store.
Really works to get new people in.
I'd like to check one of these out at some point though, could be perfect for when I move after school.
