IG List Makeup

Can someone give me just a general heads up on the makeup of an IG army of 1750 points (numbers, etc).

I'm looking at buying some IG stuff, and need to know how many infantry men are in a platoon and all that good stuff that you need a codex for.

the problem is as of may 2nd that could change greatly intill then no one really knows how the codex will work out

Do we think it's going to change it that much?

Sheesh. I wish they did some of the other Regiments in plastic...I'd love to do Tallarn or DKoK or Firstborns....but they're just too freaking expensive if you've got to field 20-30 per platoon.

I guess it'll be Cadians (the Catachans just look...fruity to me).

It's going to be way different. I think people are going to run more tanks and fewer but more elite troopers in general.

Hmm.... Well, make I'll just get a few Leman Russ' and wait to get my troops till the dex comes out.

Again the tanks are gonna get some upgrades and new sprues...
So yes getting some leman russes are safe but I would wait to finish putting them together until you find out waht all they can get and do!

Oh for pete's sake. I've got spring break this week, no cable, and no internet. I want to build something, dammit!

You don't like the the movie predator??? I love my badanna wearing ciggar smokin' cussing, Nam rip-offs. I was sold when I saw a pic of one choking out an ork nob. They used to have a rule where they would kill thier commisar! Everybody else fears commisars, even generals.

I'd say build mass troops, you can never go wrong with crap loads of guardsmen.

Certainly should wait for the codex to come out but as for the assertion of them becoming more elite... Never I have read has led to that. Guard have always best been played in swarms and I believe it will continue to be that way.
