Rygar is a mining planet. The main export is minerals for the creation of adamantine. Planetary force is insufficient to with stand a Waaagh of this magnitude. Planet is of critical importance for resources and placement due to its locality to Cadia.

Imperial Fist have arrived and begun setting up additional defenses. The Orks have overrun 8 Facilities before the Imperial Fist could arrive. Recent uncovering of artifact in mining operation has caused a shift of the mobilizing of ork forces towards the Mining Facility in sector Alpha 23. Adeptes Soritas have claimed the artifact heretical and are on their way to secure and remove said object from the planet.

The mining facility in Sector Alpha 23 sits in the bottom of a very tall canyon and in what is also known as Death Valley. The Orks have burnt out the city on the outskirts of the mining Facility and are know moving towards their destination. The Imperial Fist, Catachan, and Cadian Forces are making the last stand to protect the ancient artifact long enough for the Inquisitor to transport it to a safer location.

Defender:
Primary Objective:
The Imperial fists have dropped several bastions and have built up defensive walls with landing pads surrounding a port building housing the Artifact. The Inquisitor is set to arrive soon via a Valkyrie. The Valkyrie will land the inquisitor must then leave the landing pad and make his way to the building and retrieve the artifact and then proceed back to the Valkyrie with the artifact.

Attacker:
Primary Objective:
The attackers all want the same thing kind of… The orks want to just destroy as much as possible. Everyone else wants the artifact.
The Orks win (if the artifact has not been removed from the building) if all the bastions and landing pads are destroyed. Or (if the artifact has been removed) the Warboss wants it and the Orks can win if they take the artifact off the board.
Any attacker can win by removing the artifact from the board.

To obtain the artifact from the building the building must have no opposing units and the bearer must have started their turn inside the building, only infantry can remove the artifact from the building.

Ok so here it goes! Starting when UU&A opens until he closes My Marines and Guard are being assaulted by my Orks… So help in the Titanic struggle to protect the sacred artifact and bring a force of 500-1000 points no more. If you can complete any of the objectives you can win a prize!
Be fully aware that any army is welcome to assist either side in the assault but unless your another ork player the orks will hit anything that’s in their way as you are taking away a good fight for them… The Imperium will allow escorting of the artifact but will not allow a peaceful removal of the artifact without the Inquisitor unless he is killed of course then it must follow the chain of command.

You can come in drop your army on the board and fight it out for as long as you can and then leave when you have completed an objective and get your prize or you just want to as battles are kind of fickle any way.

No need to sign up, but a heads up would be kind. Planetstrike rules are in effect as well as Apocalypse rules (Force Org charts come from the Big Rule Book and Planetstrike rule books only) Please post any questions or concerns.

Ok here is an update for you guys!!!

ANyone that wants to submit and "artifact" bring it in and we will put it out for a contest for Best painted and or best original idea prizes to be determined.
The Rules:
1: The base may not be larger than a Termiantor Base.
2: The entire model may not be bigger than a Dreadnaught.
3: It does not have to be painted.
4: It does not have to be race specific.
5: I want at least a 20 sec speech about what it is and what it does.
6: You may enter more than 1 item.
7: The counter becomes property of CAG for use in future tournaments.

And here are some notes to be aware of:

Attacker:
Primary: Capture and remove artifact
Secondary: Destroy landing pads
Tertiary: Hold middle table quarters for at least 2 turns
Bonus: Score more Victory points than you lose.
1 Strategy point for each 500pts you bring up to 1500 points.
1 Strategic Asset from Apocolypse for 1500 pts, 2 for 1,000, and 3 for 500 points.

Defender:
Primary: Maintain control of the artifact until the Inquisitor is gone or remove the artifact from the table if teh Inquisitor dies.
Secondary: Maintain control of landing pads until artifact is gone.
Tertiary: Maintain Control of middle table (Bonus points earned for each round held beyond the 3rd turn)
Bonus Score more VP than you lose
1 Strategy point for each 500pts you bring up to 1500 points.
1 Strategic Asset from Apocolypse for 1500 pts, 2 for 1,000, and 3 for 500 points.

Use Planetary Strike Force Org charts with no minimums enforced. Apocolypse data sheets are allowed, But must still follow planet strike org chart.

The shrine in the center of the table will have an AV of 15!!! with 4 structure points.

Its not bashed up rules, just changes to the scenario. It is a good size apoc game, with Planetstrike rules from the 40K universe!
I tried to make it challenging, fun, and playable and I had to modifiy so people could come and go as needed!!! And plus can we say PRIZES!!!

sounds cool...might dust off my eldar army...but not too sure how the rules work with this planetstike expansion plus the addition of apoc rules (which i have not played before)....it all depends on whether i am busy or not to come

how many people do you have so far? and does it follow normal force organizational charts (ie 1 HQ 2 troops required)? are special character's allowed?

It'll follow the force org charts in planetstrike. Lots of differences there.

Another question, how do super heavies fall in the Planetstrike org chart (don't have the book yet.....). Do they fall under Heavy Support? Or are we not allowing super heavies and/or Titans (just so I am sure before throwing a list together)

Good Questions.

Use the Org chart in Planet strike except there is no required minimum selection.

Super heavies have their own slots (they are hiden behind the other org chart selections lol) as you can only bring a 500, 1000, or 1500 point list the super heavies will not fill up any slots, and bring what ever you can fit in the points.

You can bring as many lists as you want you just can't play them at the same time. You can bring in another list when your 1st list leaves or is wiped out.
You can play as attacker or defender. And you don't always have to fight on the same side with each list, but you must declare ahead of time what force you will be joining.

So here is how it will play out basically:
My IG and Space Marines are set up in defensive positions.
My Orks are actually deployed on the 2 outer tables as attackers all but my infiltrators and Deepstrikers.

The Orks will make the attacking strike thingy. Then on to turn 1.
The Orks will start first on turn 1. Any attackers forces may roll to see if you can join. Each person rolls a D6 for their force list and on a 5+ use planetstrike rules for coming on the table.
Defender turn 1 forces may roll to see if you can join. Each person rolls a D6 for their force list and on a 4+ use planetstrike rules for coming on the table.
And at the begining of each turn for the attacker and then Defender new forces may join and or leave. If your force leaves battle you must wait until the begining of the next turn available for your force to come in. No units may begin on the center table even deepstriking unless they have a friendly ally on the table at the begining of the turn.

As you may have guessed this game is probably not going to be balanced or even fair. That is not what the game is about, its about having fun, chillin with friends and winning cool prizes!!! But having said that I think it will be a fun game and just because the attackers outnumber the defenders almost 3:1 to begin with doesn't mean they will succeed!!!

Pizza will most likely be ordered for lunch in the afternoon so bring a few dollars to chip in please if you want to eat.

Do they have a separate game room that I've never seen? Cause I've only seen like one small table in the front of UUA....

Kendall is always going above and beyond making sure we have gaming space. We even ran last years fantasy tourney there!!!

So yes we have the space for the tables!!! we regularly run at least 2 boards when we play and Kendall has accomadated us by moving things around for us to have enough space. So please do not hesitate to head on down!!!
