| I've been trying for some time to come up with a "good" Eldar list. Ebay has had my business (buying and selling) because of my lack of a solid base for my Eldar. So in a attempt to start things off, this is what I have come up with.
Fuegan Avatar 2 units of 6 fire dragons- exarch w/firepike, wave serpent w/bright lance and shuriken cannon 2 units of 10 dire avengers- exarch w/shuriken pistol and diresword 2 wraithlords- bright lance and starcannon, 2 flamers falcon- pulse laser, bright lance, shuriken cannon, spirit stones, star engine 2 units of 3 guardian jetbikes- w/ shuriken cannons total- 1848
Now how about some feedback. I know it's small.

| I've never seen Guardian Jetbikes used, and that's probably for good reason.
Both Dire Avenger squads should probably have a transport option of some sorts. I see 1 Falcon for both of them.

| Guardian jetbikes can be solid. Holding them back for last turn objective grabbing or contesting works really well.
I agree with Ricter, both Dire Avenger squads should have transports, even if they are bare bones.
I believe you have the falcon for the Fire Dragon squad, but that leaves one walking. Which is no good with those units.
The Avatar and Wraithlords look good... I know from experience that it's tough to crack those cookies. Just keep them away from anything that can really slame them because you'll lose lots of points really quickly otherwise. I think playing aggressively with them works best, wraithlords are a bitch for MEQ to take out with out special kit.
I'm interested in seeing how this list playtests. I think you'll feel the pain footslogging as you are now. Let us know!

| The jetbikes will definately be held back 'til the final turns to jump on objectives. If it's kill points, have them take out light apc's or lighter infantry. Jetbike squads are awesome if used for the right job, ie objective grabbing /contesting. The extra move in the assault phase plus being a troop choice, IMO worth the points.
I see what you mean about the Dire's, but I was torn between giving them the w-serpents or the fire dragons. I figured if I gave it to the fire dragons, I could get them close to unleash some melta fury on either vehicles, MC's or heavy infantry. I thought about using the falcon to transport Fuegan. Run his falcon and the other w-serpents together to concentrate my melta fire. Also with him being alone, I can target 3 seperate units if need be with those meltas. If he has to, he then can "associate" with a fire dragon unit, thus making them fearless. If I keep the Avatar close to my foot sloggin' Dire's, it makes them fearless also and gives them some cc and melta support. Or running the Avatar w/ the wraithlords if the situation proves needing an aggressive approach.
This was my philosophy for running this list this way. Also with Fuegan, an Avatar, and the fire dragons it makes the list kinda fluffy too (all meltas and fire). Thanks for the feedback!

| You should try it and let us know how it works as is.
Completely didn't notice the wave serpents on the fire dragons. Here me out on this though... What about dropping one unit of fire dragons, loading the dire avengers in the wave serpents? Not sure what you'd buy with the extra points but I think the list would be a lot more mobile for it. Perhaps some war walkers... not sure about your opinion on those/how much they'd cost to gear up correctly.
I always sweat one unit of fire dragons in a falcon zipping around, not sure two is really needed to threaten everything they need to threaten. I understand rolling more if you are doing it for a theme though.

| The fire dragons are so cheap for what they do, melta gun and melta bomb.
With the few points it would give up (108 pts), would it be worth dropping them or just make them footslog with the Avatar and just give the d-avengers the serpents with the other unit in the falcon?
Or add a viper with a bright lance, but as I've said in previous posts, I'm not a fan of armor 10/10/10 vehicles?
Or 3 wraithguard? | |

| I think the list looks pretty solid but before you start second guessing yourself I would suggest taking your list and playtest, playtest, playtest before making any real changes. Nothing beats experience on the table! You might be surprized at what you learn about your units. | |

| feugan is kind of expensive for the points imo and since your using him with the fire dragons, you are kind of wasting him because you unload that unit and destroy twhatever you are going to destroy, everything is going to get trained on them, especially since everything else in your army is slower (avatar + wraithlords + dire avengers)
and the jetbikes are good objective grabbers, but you have to hide them really well, if not they WILL get shot up fast, even with their 3+ armor save/ cover save when turbo boosting. small arms concentrated fire is their enemy.
also no farseer/psyker can render your wraithlord's useless with wraith sight. imo switch feugan out with a farseer to support them.
if you are going to keep the fire dragons make sure to draw away most of the army from their target by moving the wraithlords + avatar on the opposite side with dire avengers supporting them killing the hordes.
dont waste points on wraithguard. they look good on paper, but 12" range and not close combat effectiveness = the suck.
all i can think off right now. hope it helps
and remember its just advice, you dont need to follow it!
