nurgle list lemme know what u think

hey guys here is a list i came up with based on the plaguespear tactic.

so do you think this is a good one or does it stink. any advice. please let me know what you think.

i have only seen the codex once really but i thought it followed to rules for marines with 2 heavy weapons for havocs not 5? if you can thats cool and i think 5 rockets would do the best overall for you. other than that if its a friendly game you should do fine but you might struggle a bit in a tournament because of scoring units. you have 5 unless you the landraider is in a heavy slot and then you have 6 still not that empressive for holding objectiveS

nurgle can only have assult weapons.

looks good for 1500. if you could, you might want to make a list for 1750. it is what most tournaments run off of. also it is a good friendly game size that may last about 3 hours or so. your list looks kinda small right now (i know thats how chaos are). if you bump it up it will be larger.

other than that, i would try to give one nurgle squad 2 plasmas, and the other 2 meltas. this way you have an anti-infantry squad, and a much needed anti-tank squad (due to your loss of hvy weapons).

so wait i need a clearification. so my havoc squad wouldn't work? what do i need to add or take from it to make it work? ohh and i'll turn it into a 1750 pt list as well. i'll post that soon. thanks.

well i guess with the new ruls you can still have havocs and all the other chaos units. my bad. but your normal nurgle squads can't have any hvys.

so now i would say havocs with lascannons. both squads of nurgle with 2 plasmas. this way your land raider and havocs can go after tanks and such, wile your 2 nurgle marine squads are supream infantry kilers (both shooting and close combat).

You absolutely HAVE to have a power fist in each of your plague marine squads... can't believe you didn't include them after our patrol game

5 havocs isn't enough to soak up enemy fire, I'd find the points to bolster it up to 8 (or 10) men. Also, having different purpose heavy weapons is normally a bad choice, as if the lascannons are shooting at something that requires their attention then the heavy bolter is normally wasted and vice versa. A decent loadout would be 2 missile launchers and 2 lascannons.

Always take the Landraider in its own heavy support choice instead of as a dedicated transport. This way it can ferry around other units (whereas if it is dedicated then it can only transport the squad it was bought for).

What are the loadouts on your terminators?

I partially agree with Rhino on making one squad all plasma, and one all melta. That is how I do it. But there is merit in taking one squad mixed. It sucks to have the all melta squad in a bad position.

I personally like extra armor on rhinos, some people on the board prefer to run without it, but I always try have it on rhinos.

i agree with the others on double plasma and double melta, its a sound tatic. and as matt pointed out you need a p fist champ in your squads. also for the termies you should really look at combi plasma and melta, for the points you have in a flamer and auto cannon you could try the combi instead( i think you can get 4 if not 5 combi weapons for the same price).

Not very much to add. I must say, YOUR LANDRAIDERS ONLY COST 220 FRICK'N POINTS? Now that's out of the way, I like Matt's idea of 2 missile, 2 las, but it usually works better for me as an 8 man 3 missile, 1 las (saves probably 15 pts to go elsewhere). Stop listing the points costs for everything, apparently GW is picky about that. I personally say if the extra armour is 15 pts, don't get it. Other than that, I got nothin'.
