there are 2 common ways

use a photo storage site like Photobucket and copy/paste their pre organized links in your message (be sure to make the effort to resize the image befor posting so it's easily viewable)
or

if you see a pic on the net some where you can right click, choose "Properties" and copy/paste that info into your message
then highlight and click the IMAGE button above the message window

many "Standard" images are posted or prefered in the 600x800 or less catagory
