| This will be the blog for my new 1ksons army. (I know I never thought I'd break away from DA to) This is also a test for uploading and taking photos to see what method works best. So far all I have for the army is posted below. I don't have an army list yet, but I have a general idea of what it's going to be. Everything seen below will be in said list. Same pic but with different lighting... Different angle of 6 finished rubric marines. I tried to show how I did the soft armor, grill, and exhaust ports on the rubric marines. I wanted to try to give it a greenish glow to make it appear like souls are trapped in the armor. What I have left to paint so far. Note that I do know that I don't have the aspiring sorcerers posted. I'm using a standered metal one that came with the box and converting another for use for the second squad. C&C demanded. I also wish to know the outcome of the photos. Any tips and suggestions for them appreciated.

| Models look great in a few pictures that weren't blurry, yellow, or blinding,... but hey taking miniature pictures suck unless you got a set up like "Uncle John" cause his pictures are quite good. Here is a link to some stuff Matt posted a while back, scroll to the bottom, and there are more links to some tutorials on setting up you camera and making a cheap light box. (that's what I did, works good for now) https://cincycag.forumotion.com/the-links-vault-f17/painting-modelling-links-t109.htmAnd, I may steal that color idea for the joints when I do mine, nice idea. BTW, Matt/Sean This link in that post needs deleted, its dead.... "Photo Tutorial including how to use a free image editing program (for those without photoshop )" | |

| Thanks Chad. The recipe for the green BTW is a base of DA green, than paint the raised parts snot green, than scorpion green (dont completely cover snot green at the ends of raised edges) than sunburst yellow making sure to pull away from the edge scorpion green. You want the colors to blend together as much as possible. | |

| Looking good, would love to see some clearer pics.
Side note:
We really need a moderator for the links section. TONS of dead stuff in there.
