Fantasy Escalation League @ Art of War

Hey gang...

I know it's really late notice, but Saturday I will be starting a Warhammer Fantasy League at The Art of War. 8th edition rules using a modified Mighty Empires conquest system. I know it sounds pretty complex, but it's not. I promise.

It's going to start at 1,000 points, using the standard 8th edition army composition rules. Any special characters require my approval. Some will be legal, some will not, so please get the special character approved by me. We're going to add 500 points a month, ending with a 3,000 point Tourney in January. It's a "progress" league, meaning that every week, you should show progress on your army. It doesn't have to be fully painted or anything, just show that you're actually working on the army. For example: This week I will have 1000 points of Daemons. Next week, I will have that 1,000 points primed. The following week, my Horrors will have some paint on them, etc, etc.

There will be a 10 dollar entry fee, five due this week (Saturday the 18th) and another 5 due no later than November 20th (when we get to 2000 points.) The cost will be given away as prizes which will be based on the number of people playing.

More information will be available on Saturday as the birth of my son sorta distracted me from finishing the rules. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM/IM/Email me.

I will gladly teach 8th edition to anyone who wants to play but doesn't know the new system.


Note: Army comp and sportsmanship will be a factor in the league. This is not a power gamer league. The games during and the tourney at the end will have a painting and a sportsmanship piece to it. If you are a problem in this league, you will be asked to quit playing in the league.

This would be fun, I hope I can catch it next time. I am unavailable for the next 4 Saturdays

One thing I forgot, this will "officially" start tomorrow at 4 pm. You can join at any time though, so it's not a hugely major deal if you miss next week or whatever.


And Elonna...don't worry about it. This is not the only thing we'll be doing for 8th ed.

Kaine could you guys maybe just pull the store off the foundations and move it 45 or 60 minutes north by north-west of the current position?
