| Ok so i roll two 5's and get the one where the mek is shot across the field. Does the gun go with him or is it destroyed or just sitting there or what? | |

| With him I believe.
This might be a case of GW mixing rules and fluff and it getting a bit confusing.

| Yeah, I think you are just getting confused by the way in which it is worded. Unless it specifies that it is left behind and can no longer be used the it goes with him. | |

| Yeah so it's a shoulder mounted weapon and I try and figure out why they didn't go into more fluff or more detailed rules on this cause the physics don't exactly work here... And yes I undersand the Irony of that statement it's like saying that the ants in a bugs life are real enough because they are blue and walk upright... even though they talk.
It does state that the snotlings stay where they were but doesn't say anything about the gun

| Does that gun actually have snotling ammo? or is that just for show? | |

| The gun is part of the model, both rules wise/model wise and it shoots with him.
You are mixing fluff with rules, I finally got a chance to read through it.
It states nothing that would imply he loses the gun, just that (fluff wise) he shoots through the gun instead of the snotlings.
The rules part of the double roll begin at the word "No shot is...".

| Ok I understand that it says that however here is where it reallygets confusing.
The snotlings stay in place, there are no independent models for the snotlings... The Ammo is the snotlings, sure he has the gun but no ammo... or is it assumed he sucks something else in there to shoot after? I understand there is fluff and there are rules, I think sometimes they put the flufff with the rules to explain something "logically" which just adds to the confusion. The only time I can call GW they are putting me on hold for too long

| And since the model is teleported to the point that he was trying to shoot, this is often the middle of a squad. This would likely cause the ork to violate the 1" from enemy models rule. Would he be destroyed because there is no place to put him? or would you move him to the edge of the squad? | |

| the rules actually say he counts as having initiated an assaulted this turn.
Here is the Rule word for word: 5,5 Zoink: In a freak accident, the shokk attack gun fires the Mek and leaves the snotlings in place. No shot is fired. Immediately place the Mek in base contact with the target, and treat him as if he had initiated an assault that turn.

The Ammo is the snotlings, sure he has the gun but no ammo... or is it assumed he sucks something else in there to shoot after? There are no snotlings, it is a fluff thing... has absolutely nothing to do with the rules. He can continue to shoot as normal assuming he survives the assault. Probably my least favorite thing about GW rules, they mix fluff with rules too often. All this one is saying is that he shot himself through instead of the snotlings. You can assume they catch up or he finds more etc.

| I think there would have to be Snotling models. In the rules for the Shokk Attack Gun Battery, they give a boost by sacrificing them. My guess, is the swarms won't cost any points. They also will only be used as ammo for the Shokk Attack Gun. Just my 2 cents. | |

Extra rules that they could make?

Extra rules that they could make? I'm talking about the Datasheet for the Ork Shokk Attack Gun Battery. It says for D-three snotling ba ses you "sacrifice" you add an extra dice for determing the Shokk Attack Roll. I was simly floating the idea that they will cost no oints. Although on the datasheet they do have oints cost. http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=aV3lEVtJ

| well the datasheet is completely seperate from this rules debate. You don't actually fire snotlings in the game (just in the fluff).
That's a sweet datasheet though... did that one come out on their site already?
