| How screwed are necrons at blowing up tanks? If the minus -2 for all glancing hits are true, then their greatest offense strength will become their greatest weakness.
I know everyone says that the WBB roll is their biggest advantage, but I have always thought that any enemy points spent on tanks being almost useless, as the best. I mean if they cant kill tanks or heavy infantry then the WBB wont matter, because your army will be just as tough.
Before you start talking about heavy destoryers, have you ever actually fielded them? I have always squeezed 2 into every list I made and if you ever try to move them out and kill with them, instead of just hide and grab late game objectives, they will die.
I dont know is it just me or will the army be dead until the new codex? With rumors of rending instead of the gauss special rule.

| I thought they were all also getting +1 T. Or is that just random hear-say? | |

| That was a rumor for the new necron codex, but there will be a number of new codices before necrons, so they will have to make do as they are in 5th edition for a while. I believe that Steve is correct in that necrons will have a very hard time dealing with armor until they either get a new codex, or hopefully GW releases a necron FAQ that adjusts the current gauss rules. I mean, enough glances will still destroy a vehicle after you immobilize it and strip away all of the weapons, but that is pretty excessive. They will benefit with the now even more invulnerable monolith. Although one thing you do have to think about is the new missions where holding the objectives is the only thing that matters, and only troops can hold them. A few necron warriors occupying the objectives will win no matter how many vehicles are buzzing around. | |

| Yea Nathan, I heard rumors about a +1T and FNP instead of WBB roles. I have also heard that they are talking about releasing two new gods.
Yea John I suppose it would take a whole shooting phase to blow up a transport, dont even want to think about a tank with 3 or 4 weapons systems. Holding objectives is going to be easy for the army but a rhino can still tank shock and if done right the can push you off the objective. I know the same rules make the Monolith stronger, but really, who thinks that it needs to be better? I just think it takes a huge part of the appeal of the army away, and I dont think mine will see the table after 5th until a new codex.

| On the bright side at least they probably won't have to wait as long as the Hight Elves did in WFB. That mystery is something of riddle wrapped in an enigma. | |

| Im not upset about the codex situation, im used to GW. Im just saying I wont bother playing my army. I dont think the Orcs where ever as unplayable as the Necrons will be with the new rules. The Cult of Speed and Rocket List could still compete with most armies. | |

| Not to grip fellas but I was asking for advice on ideas regarding 5th edition. Sorry all you orc players had to wait 10 years for a codex, but the codex could still compete. | |
