| Well my brother is thinking of switching over to the necrons and was wanting to get more info into them so he doesn make the same mistakes he made in selecting the Tau. | |

| Trust me....if you play Tau like Marc does...it's not a mistake. I played and lost to Tau so much and after playing 5 different armies in just over a year, I'm going back to them. 5 Edition will really make them more balanced. | |

| But I was wondering how the Necrons were. For their fighting style I think if fits me better but I want to learn more about them before jumping in and not liking it. | |

| That "We'll be Back" certainly is good. Well bad in my case, hate'z it sooooooooooo. 8-)
From my battles with IG the general plan was to do my best to take out the Destroyers and Heavy Destroyers so that with all the models on their sides they crap out.
Monoliths are scary unless they are in 24" of Demolisher cannons.
Immortals in numbers are expensive to buy and field but also a pain to take out in game play. I suspect that a maxed unit of Destroyers might work, the Heavy Destroyers max unit is like 3 (if memory serves right) so wouldn't go there.
Necrons have some good strengths. I just think that while some of their more interesting units have to be well planned for before game just jumping them in can lead to bad disappointment. | |

| I have a Necron force that your brother could play with if he wanted to try the army. I have 6000 pt so he could field almost anything he wants. I dont have Pariahs, Flayed Ones, or Tomb Spyders though. Just let me know if you two want to get together for some games. | |
