| $60, are you guys playing the low point end often? When pricing for myself ti play mid point range comfortably (choices in force) getting up to closer to $200 wasn't that hard.
To just try out the game and paint up some cool Nomads I'd drop $60 on it.

To just try out the game and paint up some cool Nomads I'd drop $60 on it. 250 is standard. 300 begins to bog down w/ too many activations but can be played more easily if you limit to 1 combat group (10 figs). We are playing 250 at the Gen Con national championship. Since you get about 150 pts in a starter for $40 bucks. Buy a blisters of HI (45 to 60 pts), blister of 2 MI w/Airborne deployment (25- 35). Example Yu Jing Starter (old version) Zanshi x 3 = 33 ap Shaolin x1 = 14 Ninja x 1 = 36 Hsien warrior (played as LT) x1 = 60 blister Invincible w/ HMG = 43 blister tiger Solidiers w/ HMG+ combi = 62 9 figures, 10 orders 248 AP 3 Special weapon cost On www.thewarstore.com = $62.33 On www.fantization.com = $67.99 Now - the nice thing is the game is not WYSIWYG. You can play the Zanshis in any fashion if you'd like. If there is a miniature that currently represents a figure you'd try to play with that but if you want to declare a Combi rifle an HMG or vice versa for the Invincible that's cool or a Zanshi to be a Zanshi hacker...that is fine too. While lists are closed you should always declar up front if a figure is not what it appears to be. |

| Personally I didn't much care for the particular content of the Nomad starter set. From a glance at the rules these starter sets seem a good deal. | |

I gotta agree. Nomads starter is one of the weaker ones from a visual perspective mostly due to the aguacils. However you can't beat the deal and you really need the cheap line level troops to put orders into the game for your bad boys to use. 3 aguacils = 30 securiate = 23 (looks better from behind b/c of the long hair) Mobil brigade = 43 Zero w/ combi = 30 so about 123 AP played as the box is. Good figures game wise: buy a blister of the Inturders (82 AP) and a blister of Hellcats (49) this would give you 254 AP played as standard for around $70 bucks with a great feel for the game and is an extremely well rounded force. My only "add" would be to bring in somebody w/ an HMG. |

Also wanted to get the mech thing. From the forum talk wasn't sure how good it was. I just know it wasn't terribly bad.

| Once this game drums up enough interest we will give it it's own section.
John got any friends you want to pull over?

| Does the Game Infinity play similar to a mix between Skirmish and Unit based?
It looks really cool, and seems really cheap to play, considering some of the other systems I;ve spent thousands on.
I will buy in, if a few other do as well. Of course from the sounds of it, the Keep, plays on regular basis.
Now that's a great Game Store. Very impressive looking, and they have a stock thats out of this world.

| I have Ya Jing all but one fig in paint, I have also played with the free download rules. I like the game. What I have played it is fast and I would be willing to play more in the future, but I will not have the funds for a while to put in another 100ap beyond he starter set.
John would you post some of you pics. I think you painted figs would help introduce the game well to people that have not seen it before.
Is Helldorado in English yet?

| Infinity is Skirmish based however you can "combine" orders for a group of figures up to 4. This allows them to execute the same order. ie. All shoot at one target. What happens is that any enemy figure only gets one ARO back at the group instead of 1 per acting figure. The combined group do not need to be the same type of figure with the exception of "regular" or irregular. I'd be happy to post some pics. I've got a finished CA army which is probably the most Polarizing for players regarding the aesthetics of the figures. |

| Oh...and Helldorado has official English translation available on PDF but the cards/figs are not yet available in English. So technically not officially in English yet.
I'm really not sure on game play...looks good but I really like the figures. Very well done so for me they are worth it to pick up and paint. |

Getting up to the Crystal Keep or whatever they are calling themselves now is outright scary. My left nut for a good north-eastern highway road from Oxford. Would throw down between $5 and $10, or dinner to carpool.

I was just saying, that Ther has been mention of regular games going on at Krystal Keep. Since this fourm and gaming house is in Northgate mall, it might as well stay close. Sorry for that Angry Bob, didnt mean to get you all balled up.

Sorry for that Angry Bob, didnt mean to get you all balled up. Matt when he set up this forum intended it to organize Cincinnati games. So Scfi City, Hobbytown, ACME are all solid. True Crystal Keep is a bit north. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if Matt has to drop da Hammer!

| Is this a store sponsored site? If not I'd rather open up to the idea of finding players around the tristate area. While I get this is "for" Cincy...by having other midwest folks visit or give them the site they can check for events etc. I have a few Dayton folks who always seem ready to come down and play. Admitedly...I play some obscure stuff so I tend to cast a broader net when looking for players. |

| The forum's for everyone, no need to restrict it.
True I did originally start it to keep in touch with local people, but everyone has things to offer... so the more the merrier.
