| I am going to have my very first battle with Orcs tomorrow. Eeeeek Makari helped me with my army list. I am a lot nervous about playing him because I am still pretty clueless when it comes to the rules of 40k. I have been told that after I play a couple of times all the mumbo jumbo in my codex that doesn't make sense now, will become crystal clear. I am also nervous because I have read and been told that his army is hard to beat.... So with a couple borrowed minis from Makari I have a 1750 army which he said looks pretty good. I will post the results after our battle, which will probably take place in the afternoon since it is almost 2 am now. I am just hoping that it is not a massacre. Since I am his sister he may take it easy on me though, then again... maybe not. | |

| Good luck! It is a little daunting at first (I just started playing a few months ago myself), but it does get easier the more times you play! Just remember to have fun with it! | |

| 1750 is a pretty big battle for it being you first, good luck on the orc slaughter. I would suggest some 800 - 1000 points on a 4x4 and one thing to do is MAKE SURE you use the charts in the back of the book for toughness and damage and such. It all is pretty easy to memorize but starting out and following the phase steps will help you with running a smoother game. It easy to pick up on bad habits in 40k and they really make games miserable when playing people who not only dont know their army rules, but dont even know the rulebook. Anyways good luck and whip his ass, but be nice to my orcs I sold him because they are better behaved than his are... | |

| Well the moment you all have been waiting for (having delusions of grandeur here) ... the results of the battle between Witch Hunter and Orks....
The Orks charged into battle first, the tanks, trucks, bikes and big monster that kills instantly with the blades on the front all moved within 12 inches of the sisters Repentia, 2 squads of battle sisters, 2 squads with mortar guys, and 1 squad with 4 space marines. One by one the orcs fired at the squads and 3 of the 4 tanks. After the Orks first round only a tank had been destroyed every squad held their own!
Witch Hunter first round the mortar guys aimed at the first squad of bikes. Hit but none were wounded they still rode strong. The Chimera (?) aimed at an Ork truck and destroyed it penning the remaining Orks under it. I may be mistaken but the rest of the Orks stood their ground the rest of the turn.
The Orks second turn a few of the mortar guys lives were taken the two mortar guys ended up running scared backwards and fell off the cliff. In the shooting phase the Sisters of Battle and Sisters of Repentia squads held strong. Then came the assault phase.... 1st Sisters of Battle were in hand to hand combat with 8 or 9 Orks on bikes. 3 lost their lives valiantly. The sisters of Repentia were surrounded by the remainder of the Orks that were left after their truck went out of control. Only 1 sister compared to 3 Orks lost their lives. The second Sisters of Battle were in hand to hand with some more Orks that survived after their truck went out of control (think the word Makari used was Kachunk). We lost 2 sisters in that battle.
Round three was a quick battle and the Orks lost a bunch of troops. St. Celestine attempted to do a sneak attack on the Orks on bikes but the dice were not in her favor to kill them, but they were to save her life with an armor save roll of 2 6's! There was heavy casualty on both sides and it was getting late so we called it a draw....
Witch Hunter remaining army.... 2 Chimera tanks...1 big boom tank (can't remember it's name).... 1 squad of battle sisters with 8 sisters remaining, 1 inquisitor with all 5 henchman, 1 St. Celestine, 1 mortar squad, 1 squad of sisters Repentia with 7 sisters, a mistress and priest remaining, and the space marine 4 heavy armor and sister superior.
The final score was 501.5 to 355.5... not too bad for the first game I believe. I also learned a whooooole lot about my army, and most of it does make sense. Although I do have a lot to learn still.

| Looks like a good time! Faith? Did you remember Faith Points Next, go try an all Sisters army for max Faith Points. I wouldnt go buying models, but Exorcists will be silly good next edition. The AP1 will really help and the tank has no defensive weapons anyway. With hordes looking good in 5th a squad of 4 Heavy Bolters backed up by Faith will be solid as well. | |

| I had an absolute BLAST and wish we had started earlier. We were laughing practically the whole time because we were both sleep deprived. lol
I had 4 faith points for this game but didn't use any because I wasn't exactly sure how they worked and Makari wasn't 100% sure on them either. I decided that I would read more about them before I started using them. I plan on adding to my army this weekend at Origins!!! So excited can't wait!

Faith is what really makes the Sisters work. I suggest you really pay attention to the abilities they grant you and how they would work in your list versus certain opponents in certain situations yada yada. Some quickies: Cannoness with the St Aspira Cloak. One quick LD check and she has a 2+ INV save. Divine Guidance on.. anything. Take a squad popping from a Rhino. Guided Rapid Fire and maybe even a Hvy Flamer. Solid.

| Wow nicely written... and its Kerrunch! lol She did extremely well for her first game. She may have even won had she actually moved some units when she had meant to but wouldn't hear of it when I told he rto go back and finish her moves. Yes we had fun she got to see how things progressed. I used a little bit of everything for terrain so that would be ample opportunity to learn. I played My big Mek list to round out the troop typers for her to learn the differences. Big Mek SAG (Shokk Attack Gun) Big Mek KFF (Kustom Force Field) 8 Lootas ( she failed to mention she obliterated these guys in one shot from the Battle tank. I didn't space cause I was up on a hill stupid me) 2 8 warbike units 1 Nob with PK(power Klaw) 3 Trukks 12 boys 1 nob PK, 3 Killa Kans 1 Deff Dread 1 Battle wagon deff rolla Looted wagon boom gun I think taht was it... I agree Marc about about going all sisters and we should be able to take care of that this weekend! | |

| Nicely written...very clear and understandable. Definitely liked how you combined the pain of losing your Sisters with the emotions of a Commander. BTW Good Job, think you could have taken him | |
