| i recall that he had 2 of them and they're painte djsut like the above picture Toney is a good painter- he does simple, clean work and his models are "table ready"
again I'm speculating about his desire to move on to another game in his opinion the game has evloved too quickly to "Broken" mechanics and has taken away the joy for him

| So, um. I played a demo of Warmachine. Now I need to buy a Menoth starter set and purge heretics with fire. Does nobody else around here play Menoth? | |

| Just got my Stormblades based and my Defender put together. I'm defo good with 750.
However Dan needs a hand, he needs the point cost for the Beast Warjack. I went to Sci-fi today to pick up the Legends book but it was already bought.
Any help will be appreciated. Now.....for a lil WoW and then going to start some priming

| I'm looking to start weekly tourneys for Warmachine begining March 2nd.
These would be at the 750 point level with a $7 buy in. Gift Card prizes given to 1st and 2nd place.
Then the last Monday of the month would get a larger point tourney with a $10 buy in.
Any thoughts???? | |

Any thoughts???? Here is a great way to become the most popular Warmachine store around http://leagues.privateerpress.com/ - Quote :
- Why Leagues? Why Call To Arms?
Nothing promotes a game in your store like organized play, and league play is one of the best and easiest kinds of organized play. Retailers know that running leagues in their stores creates new customers, drives sales, and keeps existing customers happy. Privateer Press gives you everything you need to put this staple of the war-gaming hobby to work for you with our Call to Arms League Kits. Our innovative online element keeps players challenged and in your store on a daily basis. Retailers have touted our Call To Arms League Kits as one of the best things to happen in their stores since the launch of WARMACHINE and HORDES.

| I agree that the Leagues are a great way to go. Privateer Press has worked hard to show support for clubs and stores. IF your distributor can not help you with kits (PP works pretty closewith distributors as well) then contact Privateer Press directly. It would be well worth your time. | |

I agree, PP works very close with their fans and the stores they belong to. If you need help getting exclusive information, or if anybody else is looking for information directly, let me know, as I'm working closley with 2 friends of mine that own and operate a LHS that dedicates 90% of their store to Warmachine/Hordes, and all of the other Privateer Press Games and products. I know it's weird to here of game store dedicating there stores to 1 or 2 games only. But it seems that's the way they do it around here. It's kinda cool actually, as you can always find a game, for a specific system on a daily basis.

| The League stuff is nice, but I have to pay $100 up front to get the Starter Kit for this 5 week Tour. (for only 8 players!!!)
For Tourney's I have no initial cash outlay, and the top 2 players from the tourney leave with prizes that day, all for a small tourney fee. (for as many that show!)
let me your thoughts players....

| what about if more than 8 players show up????
I mean, the kits are 4 prize ribbons/pins and 8 participation pins.
I've run leagues like this before, and I feel doing weekly tourneys are more fun.
Oh yeah, I know we can do 12-14 players in a tourney.

| i do believe my response is..DUDE!! MWUHAHAHAHA
though i would recomend starting at 500pts.. first two weeks then 750 then maybe (MAYBE!) 1000.. mainly because 500 is easy to get.. starter box and a squad of infantry..

| That is what I was initially thinking and am still looking towards that.
Week 1 & 2: 500 pts; Week 3: 750 pts; Week 4: 1000 pts; and the odd month with a Week 5: 1250 pts.

| Not only that, each session the point value is getting larger, meaning, you have to buy specific units once this game becomes this large, to stay competitive, thus, adding the cost to the player. So it will cost you to play, and to win the prize, which is in store prize support. And this is NO pun intended. | |
