| Perhaps you should start the league at Battlebox-level, so as to draw in more people who might be interested in trying the game out before dropping another hundred bucks? | |

| So how does this sound:
Weeks 1-3: 500 pts Week 4: 750 pts Week 5: 1000 pts
Remember, there generally are only 4-5 week 5's in any given calendar year.

| DUDE I'm so into this!!!! But it's going to depend on what day it falls on or as long as you get your game in for the weeks. Monday nights are going to be my new game night until I get bills caught up and there is Sat OT available to help me do that. | |

| C.J.,
Ypu're temporarily in luck - Monday nights are turning out to be quite happily active at Sci Fi City these days.
Last week I'm pretty sure I saw WARMACHINES being played on the terrain tables and MUNCKHIN QUEST was being played on one of the gray tables.

| I've pointed this thread out to a few other guys that should be interested in the tournaments that haven't yet attended the Monday night games (including myself). | |

| Hi guys,
I'm just getting to warmachines myself. I'm definitely interested in Monday gaming at SciFi City. I have the cygnar battlegroup. What do you guys to suggest to round the 500 points? Thanks.

I don't play Cygnar, so you may want to wait to pick up models until an actual Cygnar player makes some comments and suggestions. You may want to get another warcaster just to try new things. Nothing changes how the army plays more than a warcaster (Haley is a good warcaster for a new player). If you want to stick with Stryker, he's cool. Disruption/Snipe/Arcane Shield/Earthquake are awesome. Also pick up the warcaster attachment Squire. He comes with a number of abilities, including increasing your caster's control area, giving extra focus, and letting your caster re-roll a missed spell once per turn. With Stryker, you could do a 7" snipe on a unit with Long Shot rounds and be shooting into your opponent's deployment zone on turn 1. Must have solos include the Gun Mage Captain Adept and the Journeyman Warcaster. Stormsmiths are squishy, but can be used effectively (their attacks do not need LOS and it is a skill check, not a ranged/melee attack, so you can kill stuff with Stealth/high def). Good mercenaries to pick up include Eiryss, Aiyana&Holt, and Rupert. If you want new 'jacks, Centurion and Thorn are quite good. The Centurion is slow, but beefy. With Arcane Shield and the fact that he cannot be charged, your opponent will likely have to find another way to deal with him than just straight damage (and those ways do exist, of course). Thorn is an incredible arc node upgrade over the Lancer for only 17 more points. Once per turn when you arc a spell through him, he gets to move, so you can either use the ability defensively to keep him out of harm's way or offensively to have a massive threat area with his disruption spear. Additionally, if you are running him with Haley and he does end up in melee, you can still use his arc node, unlike other arc node jacks. For units in shooty lists, I often see Trenchers/The Black 13th/Longgunners. Get the Officer Unit Attachments if you can. The Black 13th are an incredibly powerful ranged unit, especially on Haley's feat turn. If you don't have the books, you can use http://battlecollege.wikispaces.com/ to get an overview of the models and Tabletop Commander http://www.tabletopcommander.com/ to help you build lists before you buy any models.

| I am jut started with Cygnar. I have the Battle Box and then have made purchases for Old Rowdy, love his fluff and abilities he has with Srtyker, another Iron Clad, And a full unit of Stormblades with a Stormblade Command Unit. I'm around 750 right now and have a squad of Longgunners I really need to get time to pick up from SciFi (if they are still there. Getting tired of Vehicle repairs. Brakes $300 and now a new muffler for the van $200. SUCKS BALLS!)
Oh well. I'll be 2 cars again next week so hopefully I can finally get up there and get some games in.
Thanks for the 2 links for those sight!!!!!
