Who is the MOST powerful Chapter Master or Captain?

Sorry about the last poll i didnt include some Chapter Masters because the ones i listed were the only ones me and some of my buddys were arguing about. And i found out some of the ones i listed aren't Chapter Masters (Thanks for correcting me Bloodfist), so heres one that includes all of the main Chapter Masters and some of the most popular Captains.

Vulkan isn't a Captain though . He holds the special Forgefather rank within the Sallies.

But seriously, I think there are a few up there that are equally badass depending on what you're trying to do with them.

I chose Lysander because he's got a 2+ save, 3+ invulnerable save, 4 wounds, and is strength 10 so he'll kill most character or models in 1 hit.

grimnar...seriously overpriced, but can switch between str 5 power weapon and a powerfist for when you really need to kill something, plus he can give everyone within 12" +1A, including himself, so 6 attacks on the charge, or 7 when being charged, plus he hits on a 3+ regardless of your weapon skill...read it and weep vanilla marines

Don't forget Lysander ALSO has Eternal Warrior so he can't be insta-killed.

Hey what does Bolter Drill, and Bolster Defences do again? I forgot, and i let someone borrow my codex.

Well bolster defenses is badass because it lets you upgrade a cover save at the beginning of the game for any piece of terrain (i.e., 4+ ruins is now a 3+ ruins...great for a devastator squad defending an objective!).

Bolter drill is also badass. Lets you reroll failed to hits for the squad he's in on shooting attacks.

I really think I want to pair him with Vulkan in a Planetstrike game...make my own "Counts as Lysander" Salamanders 1st Company Captain.

heh, this pool is sorta slanted. How can you compare characters without more information?

Out the gate, alone...certain characters are worthless. Vulkun for example. Needs an army around him to make it work really well.

That being said, I have to agree with Lupus...grimnar is buckets of awesome, since he is from an old codex...I think he would give anyone a run for the money.


Plus it is a pissed off Viking in power armor! What is not awesome about that?
