| i really think you should drop 2 piranahas for another squad of FW's with the markerlight it really compliments the crisis suits. plus with the railheads and strength 7 shots you have tanks shouldnt be an issue but those new ork mobs will be ( at 30" a squad of FW's is almost affective as a SM devi sqaud with 4 heavy bolters againt t4) | |

| I discovered Piranhas/Tornados are best as either a single model ("nobody pays attention to me") or as larger multiple squadrons. Two 3s or Three 2s or even Three 3s or leave your fast selection choice at One 1. Shield Generators are overpriced IMO. A single Shield Drone is the way to go. Think about it. If you've hosed your movement phase to where you are taking multiple AP3 fire then you deserve to lose. Plus, they not only take up a Hard Point but allow you to not take a MultiTracker. Firing both your Missile Pod and your Plasma at the same time is what will make your XV8s deadly. Sure, a generator is better in hand to hand combat but why are you in hand to hand? Oh right.. Night Fighting Find points to have your Elite XV8s have a Team Leader with Targ Array. The boost in BS skill is needed. Nothing like a duff to hit roll on Plasma. If I were doing Tau again I'd go with 4 units of 10 Kroot. Two units were just enough to cover half the field as you were able to stagger your lanes. Four units would give you 3 to push your lanes forward and then leave one in the backfield or sent towards an objective or whatever. Redundant flexability. | |

You were gonna be in hand to hand anyway old chum... I'm pretty sure the lone metal gunner taking down two hammerheads was the sore point of that game I'd drop the fire warriors down to minimum and fit in another Kroot squad. Gives you more to play with. I agree with Marc on the shield drones too... although it is damn annoying when a tau player has them, they just aren't worth the points imo.

i will need the piranahas to help take out tanks quickly. also if there is no need for anti-tank, they will be great hvy infantry killers by the way, what does IMO mean? sorry, i don't talk internet addict...

| Nice list just not my style piranahas yes, shield generaters are only for 1 man teams useing the hit and run rule(only reason I see since you cant take drones) or to keep ur command more freely moveing(rule question there weither with drones he counts as being independent out of combat since the drones stay with him in combat......and count as a seperate unit) | |

I'll be down in about a week and two days.
[edited for the spelling mistake! Thanks Ryan!]
